Welcome Page

Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. You'll probably want to know how to get started as an author. Just look at CZ:Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. Be sure to stay abreast of events via the Citizendium-L (broadcast) mailing list (do join!) and the blog. Please also join the workgroup mailing list(s) that concern your particular interests. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forums is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any constable for help, too. Me, for instance! Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun! Dan Nachbar 17:37, 27 October 2007 (CDT)

Reference links

Hi Chris! Welcome! Typically we don't put article links inside references. Also, if you're going to create a link, the format is the link as it appears Blessings... --Michael J. Formica 17:47, 1 December 2007 (CST)

CZ International

Hi! I’m just letting people who have expressed an interest in CZ International know that there is now a proposal on the table.

Please discuss its feasibility at: CZ:Proposals/Internationalisation sandbox in the Discussion area.

Feel free to help develop the proposal, as well.

We'll also need "drivers".

If you've got no idea what I'm talking about, please refer to: CZ:Proposals/New and CZ:Proposals

Hi again, Christian. Thank you very much for participating! Aleta Curry 16:57, 15 February 2008 (CST)

Your proposal "Redirection creation bot"

Hello. No driver is listed in the proposal record for "Redirection creation bot" which you started. Every proposal must have a driver, a champion who is filling in the details of the proposal and driving it along. Do consider becoming the driver yourself; don't be worried that this is hard as I will help you at every step if necessary. If you find a driver, please make sure that the proposal record on CZ:Proposals/New is updated. If no driver can be found within three days, then the proposal becomes inactive. -- The Proposals Manager, Jitse Niesen 12:58, 8 March 2008 (CST)

The proposal has now become inactive and I moved it to CZ:Proposals/Driverless. The proposal will be reactivated as soon as somebody volunteers to become a "driver" for the proposal. -- Jitse Niesen 07:35, 12 March 2008 (CDT)

Please join us for Biology Week!

Hello Christian,

I am giving you this personal invitation to join us this week for Biology Week!

You're a Citizendium Biology Author and we need authors as much as editors here to get involved. Did you know that there are over 200 biology authors here? Yep!

Please join us on the wiki and add or revise biology articles. Also, please let your friends and colleagues who are biologists, biology students, or naturalists, know about Biology Week and ask them to join us, too. Any way you can help make it an event would be most welcome. Think of it as a Biology Workgroup open house. Let's see if we can kick up activity a notch!

Thanks in advance! --Larry Sanger 13:24, 22 September 2008 (CDT)

Your proposal "Subpages for watchknow videos"

Dear Christian, a long time ago you made a proposal with the title "Subpages for watchknow videos". If you need a reminder, please look at the proposal record at CZ:Proposals/New#Subpages for watchknow videos. However, you have not started the proposal page. This is needed so that you can give details for your proposal and people can discuss the proposal. Please follow the link "Start complete proposal" in the proposal record to start the proposal page. You can find more information on the proposals system policy page. -- The Proposals Manager, Jitse Niesen 16:58, 1 October 2008 (CDT)

The proposal has now become inactive and I moved it to CZ:Proposals/Driverless. The proposal will be reactivated as soon as somebody volunteers to become a "driver" for the proposal. -- Jitse Niesen 14:57, 14 October 2008 (UTC)

Restart of proposal system

Hello. Due to a lack of activity and attention on my part, the Proposal System has ground to a halt and discussion on all proposals has stopped. I decided to clean out the system by marking all proposals as inactive and removing their drivers. This also happened to your proposal "Separate Author registration from Editor registration". I would be delighted if you decide that you want to take the proposal up again. You can do this by updating the proposal record, which can now be found at CZ:Proposals/Driverless. Please do not hesitate to ask if anything is unclear. Yours, Jitse Niesen 14:11, 11 March 2009 (UTC) (Proposals Manager)
