The Alps is the name of a mountain range system in Europe, stretching from Austria and Slovenia in the east, through Liechtenstein, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, to France in the west.

The highest mountain in the Alps is Mont Blanc, at 4,808 meters, on the Italian-French border.
