The Alps is the name of a mountain range in Europe, stretching from Austria and Slovenia in the east, through Liechtenstein, Germany, Italy and Switzerland to France in the west.

The highest mountain in the Alps is Mont Blanc, at 4,808 meters, on the Italian-French border.
