Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start. You'll probably want to know how to get started as an author. Just look at Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, our help system and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. Be sure to stay abreast of events via Twitter. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forum is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any administrator for help, too. Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun!

You can find some more information about our collaboration groups if you follow this link Citizendium_Pilot:Discipline_Workgroups.You can always ask me on my talk page or others about how to proceed or any other question you might have.

résumé

Fixed! And I credited you in the history :) --Eric M Gearhart 08:24, 4 April 2007 (CDT)

We are somewhat similar: I'm a computer nerd and gun nut who sometimes uses English words, you are a soldier acting as a computer nerd who sometimes uses French words, therefore I had to tackle this "résumé" thing :-)
Looking forward to write here about weapons and computers with your help Nat Makarevitch 09:24, 4 April 2007 (CDT)

Bonjour ;)

Bonjour !

Internationalisation

Hi! I’m just letting people who have expressed an interest in CZ International know that there is now a proposal on the table.

Please discuss its feasibility at: CZ:Proposals/Internationalisation sandbox in the Discussion area.

Feel free to help develop the proposal, as well.

We'll also need "drivers".

If you've got no idea what I'm talking about, please refer to: CZ:Proposals/New and CZ:Proposals

Hi again, Nat. Thank you very much for participating! Aleta Curry 16:58, 15 February 2008 (CST)

Developers

I read your note (on your user: page) about software which is better integrated into the 'style' of CZ, and I basically agree with you. One hitch: right now, the project doesn't appear to have many 'developer' resources at all! If we did, I think your points would be right on target. Lacking that, though, we struggle along with (slightly tweaked) MediaWiki. J. Noel Chiappa 15:07, 18 March 2008 (CDT)

That's a valid point! I thought about it and concluded that CZ, in order to attract contributors, must offer adequate tools. It implies development (AFAIK MediaWiki extensions will be sufficient), which in turn implies money because some needed thingies are not very pleasant to realize or administer. I exposed all this but (nearly 3 months later) have to read a reply. I'm afraid that this did not convinced anybody here. From my point of view it implies that CZ may therefore not gain an adequate momentum in the foreseeable future. Nat Makarevitch 17:00, 18 March 2008 (CDT)
