A definition or brief description of Aeneid.

An epic poem written by Virgil, commissioned indirectly by Augustus Caesar, written in the style of the Iliad and Odyssey, which depicts the hero Aeneas fleeing from Troy, journeying to Carthage, Sicily, and finally to Italy where after battling, he founds the city of Rome. A monumental work of major significance in Western literature.
