Welcome Page

Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start. You'll probably want to know how to get started as an author. Just look at CZ:Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. Be sure to stay abreast of events via the Citizendium-L (broadcast) mailing list (do join!) and the blog. Please also join the workgroup mailing list(s) that concern your particular interests. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forums is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any constable for help, too. Me, for instance! Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun! Hayford Peirce 19:57, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

Personal welcome

Hi there! I'm a Computers Editor and am delighted to see you're immediately making a useful edit. Let me know your interests and how I can help. In computing, my areas are networking and transmission, network management, and health & military applications (life-critical and death-critical). Howard C. Berkowitz 20:16, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

Welcome from me also! I am quite interested in computers, being a bit of a programmer myself. You'll mainly find me editing articles about Video Games however! Let me know if you have any problems using the site and I will be more than happy to help. --Chris Key 19:12, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
Hello and welcome. Would you mind if I moved sock puppet back to sockpuppet? The one-word usage is by far the more common - and the article itself uses it. Ro Thorpe 16:09, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
Now that's what I call 'quick' - thanks! Ro Thorpe 16:14, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

Lemmas

Hi Andrew,

thanks for chiming in on the lemmas. Please also try to start the definition first - it should be more convenient. I hope you will enjoy your time here! --Daniel Mietchen 18:51, 6 September 2010 (UTC)

Yes, this is my first time doing lemmas, and so far I usually create the definition after creating the page. Andrew Steinborn 23:34, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
