Pharmacokinetics are the "dynamic and kinetic mechanisms of exogenous chemical and drug absorption; biological transport; tissue distribution; biotransformation; elimination; and toxicology as a function of dosage, and rate of metabolism. it includes toxicokinetics, the pharmacokinetic mechanism of the toxic effects of a substance.
