Liège (formerly Liége) is a Belgian city, the largest metropolitan area of Wallonia, and head of the arrondissement of Liège. Located on the Meuse river, Liège has a population of roughly 180,000 inhabitants. It was once the capital of the [Principality of Liège]] until 1795.
