Florence Ada Brown etc.

I got some info about Florence Ada Brown, Keynes' mother, from this website: [1] It seems to me that if his mother was Mayor, she deserves more words written about her than his father. I think "advocate for the poor" sums up several of the projects listed there that she worked on. Maybe "activist for the poor" or "social reformist" (as Wikipedia says) or something else would be better wording. I find it ambiguous whether "eminent logician and economist" refers to the father or the son; that's one reason I joined the sentence about his mother into the previous sentence -- I think it helps clarify that a bit, and it also helps when the word "He" begins the next sentence, which wouldn't make sense after a sentence about his mother. I read the whole article and this was the only part I saw as needing editing. --Catherine Woodgold 11:17, 8 April 2007 (CDT)

Thanks for your help, you are very welcome. My articles badly need editing by someone other than me. Thanks again. J. R. Campos 22:54, 9 April 2007 (CDT)

Finished?

Why is this article classified under Sociology? Economics and Politics I understand, but Sociology? I don't get it. It also appears finished (and has for quite some time) and has been classified as Developed. I recommend that one of the editors in Economics take a look and nominate it for Approval if that is appropriate or do the finishing work and then nominate it. I also recommend that Sociology be removed or some sociological content be added. Unless I read some objections here, I intend to remove it from that workgroup.

Roger is right. I suggest history as a category, as Keynes both wrote history and played a major role in national affairs re Treasury policy and his views on Versailles. Politics does not work--he was not really a political theorist or activist. Richard Jensen 19:06, 19 June 2008 (CDT)

Revision needed

The treatment of Keynes' General Theory and of Friedman's criticisms needs editing to improve clarity remove bias and correct errors - particularly in the intro. Elsewhere a good deal of work would be needed to raise this article to an acceptable standard. I would be sympathetic to a proposal to blank it and start again. Any takers ?
