Please, make improvements to this page.Gary Leonard Cameron 12:53, 29 April 2012 (UTC)

Apparently, when alphabetizing pages in the metadata form it is difficult to know which letter to file "Battle of Waterloo" under. I expect more experienced writers and editors will provide guidance and I have not thought about the issue long enough to have an opinion. I'm sure any decision by others on that matter will be fine by me. Gary Leonard Cameron 00:05, 29 April 2012 (UTC)

I realize I may need to cite the witnesses and commentators who mentioned Napoleon's ill-health that day as a factor. I have several scholarly books I can use for that.

I also realize I have not consulted any style manual. I expect the style, grammar, and punctuation need improvement. I decided to knock this out quickly and learn as I go.

I also realize the article needs a larger plan to refine it and expand it such as an outline.

I have not learned how to make subheadings yet. I have also not learned how to make words turn blue for links. I decided these things weren't essential skills for a very rough first draft.

The article certainly needs improvement but I'm not aware of any serious errors. Please correct me if I am wrong. Gary Leonard Cameron 21:43, 28 April 2012 (UTC)

Page moved

I have moved The Battle of Waterloo to this location as requested by the author and discussed on the forum. D. Matt Innis 04:23, 29 April 2012 (UTC)

Thank you for fixing this Matt. I very much appreciate your help. Gary Leonard Cameron 12:53, 29 April 2012 (UTC)
No problem, Gary. That's what I do! By the way, for future reference, try not to delete anything from a talk page. It can make things confusing for people that show up later. If we use the colons for indentation, the proper headings, and time stamp our comments, people can tell what is no longer necessary. When all is said and done, we should be able to follow the comments from the first idea to the finished product. D. Matt Innis 17:11, 29 April 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for letting me know. I won't delete comments anymore. I'll let people read through the thread. I had been concerned as to the earlier comment creating confusion because it regarded which page to make changes and comments on. Gary Leonard Cameron 05:02, 1 May 2012 (UTC)
Absolutely, I understand. Probably the best thing to do then is to add a comment that explains that the problem is now fixed, etc.. Next time I'll add an extra sentence or two explaining more details. D. Matt Innis 13:19, 1 May 2012 (UTC)
Adding a comment explaining the problem is now fixed is sensible. I will do that the next time I inadvertently create two identical pages and leave you to clean up the mess (just kidding).
I do wonder if I created the Sirius article correctly today. I followed the first option at http://en.citizendium.org/wiki/CZ:How_to_start_a_new_article. Gary Leonard Cameron 17:27, 1 May 2012 (UTC)
