Ganshoren is a municipality within the Brussels Region of Belgium. The municipality was created in 1841 by a decision of the Belgian Parliament (Chamber of Representatives) after the secession of the inhabitants of Ganshoren from the municipality of Jette, which the current municipality was previously part of.
