Dobutamine [r]:
A beta-2 agonist catecholamine that has cardiac stimulant action without evoking vasoconstriction or tachycardia; it is proposed as a cardiotonic after myocardial infarction or open heart surgery, and used as a pharmacological stressor in cardiac stress testing.
