In physiology, antiphosholipid antibodies are "autoantibodies directed against phospholipids. These antibodies are characteristically found in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (lupus erythematosus, systemic;), antiphospholipid syndrome; related autoimmune diseases, some non-autoimmune diseases, and also in healthy individuals."[1]
