I intend to maintain this article on Citizendium. I wrote its original version for Wikipedia during 2006. The source for most of the material was the public domain Dictionary of American Naval Fighting Ships. I did the extensive Wikification, which included standardization of geographical names across the range of articles on similar ships. I also copy edited the DANFS material, added facts, found photos and external links, etc. The table at the top of the article is based on similar tables in Wikipedia. There have been few changes by others, and they are minor. I left in the red links, hoping that Citizendium would have articles about them soon. | I intend to maintain this article on Citizendium. Louis, this may be specific only to my browser, or a template issue; I'm not sure. In either case the first line below the first heading goes right through the table template, all the way across the screen. The line before the 1940-1941 heading. --[[User:Robert W King|Robert W King]] 14:57, 7 May 2007 (CDT) |

When I brought the article to CZ, I added sections for each year the ship was in commission, improved the headings on the table, and made minor copy edits. Louis F. Sander 19:26, 7 April 2007 (CDT)

Louis, this may be specific only to my browser, or a template issue; I'm not sure. In either case the first line below the first heading goes right through the table template, all the way across the screen. The line before the 1940-1941 heading. --Robert W King 14:57, 7 May 2007 (CDT)
