Respond to Milton Beychok's call for article entitled Oxidation

Start as stub. Anthony.Sebastian 20:07, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

Renamed Oxidation to Oxidation-Reduction

One cannot explicate 'oxidation' reactions intelligibly/coherently without explication of 'reduction' reactions' concurrently. Oxidation and reduction reactions are chemically coupled reactions.  Anthony.Sebastian 20:52, 27 March 2012 (UTC)

Oxidation state

In a quick review of this article, I did not find any mention of oxidation state. This seems to me to be a very important aspect of oxidation/reduction. Henry A. Padleckas 17:26, 3 April 2012 (UTC)

I agree, Henry, the issue of oxidation state needs discussion, as well as its distinction from oxidation number. Thanks for bringing up the point. There is much more relating to Electrochemistry also needing inclusion. Anthony.Sebastian 20:53, 3 April 2012 (UTC)
