Amory Lovins is Chairman and Chief Scientist at the Rocky Mountain Institute. He works in the area of energy policy and has promoted energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy technologies. Lovins has published 29 books, and these include Natural Capitalism, Small is Profitable, Soft Energy Paths, and Winning the Oil Endgame. Lovins has won many awards, received ten honorary doctorates, and provided expert testimony in eight countries. In 2009, Lovins was listed in TIME magazine as one of the world's 100 most influential people.
