STIB or MIVB (full name in French: Société des Transports Intercommunaux Bruxellois, full name in Dutch: Maatschappij voor het Intercommunaal Vervoer te Brussel) is a public transport company that operates in the Brussels Capital-Region of Belgium.
However, STIB is not the only public transport company covering the Brussels Region : the Flemish "De Lijn" company and the Walloon company "Tec" also operate in Brussels, but only with bus.
STIB/MIVB services include:
- Metro (sice 1976) : 4 metro lines are active (lines 1, 2, 5 and 6) and a pre-metro line (lines 3 et 4) operates between the North and South stations.
