North Catalonia or Northern Catalonia or historically the Counties (in Catalan Catalunya Nord, la Catalunya del Nord, els Comtats; in French la Catalogne Nord, la Catalogne du Nord, les Comtés), is the northernmost region of the Catalan Countries (or Catalonia in a wide sense).

It belongs politically to France, where it nearly matches with the department of the Pyrénées-Orientales, excepting the area of the Fenouillèdes.

North Catalonia is not an administrative subdivision but a region defined by cultural and historical criteria.

Its main city is Perpignan.
