The German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) was created in 1972, by a gift from Germany as a memorial to the Marshall Plan. It is a nonpartisan American public policy and grantmaking institution dedicated supporting leadership meetings on transatlatic issues, on improving transatlantic and global policy challenges, and on democracy promotion.
