In health care, dyfunctional uterine bleeding, also called metrorrhagia is "abnormal uterine bleeding that is not related to MENSTRUATION, usually in females without regular mentrual cycle. The irregular and unpredictable bleeding usually comes from a dysfunctional endometriium".[1]

Treatment

Triphasic oral contraceptives (norgestimate-ethinyl estradiol) can reduce bleeding.[2]
