Eduzendium article should eventually be marked as such in the following ways:
#If not using subpages, add <nowiki>"[[Category:Eduzendium]]"</nowiki> to the bottom of the article. If using subpages, add "Eduzendium" to the list of workgroups in the meta-data template.
#Add {{tl|EZarticle}} to the top of the article (after <nowiki>"{{subpages}}"</nowiki>).
# The two previous points can be addressed by using templates: {{tl|EZarticle-closed-auto}} is for closed Eduzendium articles which should ''not'' appear under [[:Category:Eduzendium Workgroup]]. For those that should, use {{tl|EZarticle-closed-auto}}. For open EZ articles, see {{tl|EZarticle-open}} and {{tl|EZarticle-open-auto}}.
#Add <nowiki>"{{EZtalk|yourCourse}}"</nowiki> to the top of the talk page, where "yourCourse" is the course home page on CZ, e.g. [[CZ:Biol 201: General Microbiology]].

* The preferred method is by using [[MediaWiki templates]]:
** Use {{tl|EZarticle-closed-auto}} for those articles which you do not want any other Citizendium contributors to work on. Just add "<nowiki>{{EZarticle-closed-auto}} </nowiki>" (just the material ''inside'' the "") to the top of the article (after <nowiki>"{{subpages}}"</nowiki>, if you're using subpages). ({{tl|EZarticle-closed}} is for closed Eduzendium articles which should ''not'' appear under [[:Category:Eduzendium Workgroup]].)
** For open EZ articles, ones which other people are allowed to contribute to, use {{tl|EZarticle-open-auto}} (and {{tl|EZarticle-open}}).
* Alternatively, either:
* Add {{tl|EZarticle}} to the top of the article (after <nowiki>"{{subpages}}"</nowiki>).
* Add <nowiki>"{{EZtalk|yourCourse}}"</nowiki> to the top of the talk page, where "yourCourse" is the course home page on CZ, e.g. [[CZ:Biol 201: General Microbiology]].
** Next, if not using subpages, add <nowiki>"[[Category:Eduzendium]]"</nowiki> to the bottom of the article. If using subpages, add "Eduzendium" to the list of workgroups in the meta-data template.

The signing up process

Each student and instructor should create a username and password by requesting an account. Go to http://en.citizendium.org/wiki/Special:RequestAccount . When requesting an account please make sure you select EDUZENDIUM as a workgroup. This will help us track all Eduzendium participants' contributions. The account will be approved by a constable and you should get a confirmation email.

In case you do not get a confirmation email, including a password, you should contact Sorin Matei, the Eduzendium coordinator or Lee Berger, another Eduzendium leader. You should also try to retrieve your username and password by clicking on http://en.citizendium.org/wiki?title=Special:Userlogin. Enter your username and then click "email password"

Creating and categorizing Eduzendium articles

When creating articles, please note that Citizendium does not capitalize article titles except for words that are ordinarily capitalized when occurring in sentences. See CZ:Naming conventions for details.

There are two ways to create Eduzendium articles.

  • Create your article the easy way. Someone will eventually drop by and do the fancy stuff for you.
  • Create your article the fancy way.

Eduzendium article should eventually be marked as such in the following ways:

  • Alternatively, either:
  • Add {{EZarticle}} to the top of the article (after "{{subpages}}").
  • Add "{{EZtalk|yourCourse}}" to the top of the talk page, where "yourCourse" is the course home page on CZ, e.g. CZ:Biol 201: General Microbiology.
    • Next, if not using subpages, add "[[Category:Eduzendium]]" to the bottom of the article. If using subpages, add "Eduzendium" to the list of workgroups in the meta-data template.
