The West Coast of the United States is where the mainland United State borders the Pacific Ocean contains three main states: Washington, Oregon and California. At the northernmost part of the West Coast is the Canadian border between Seattle and Vancouver, British Columbia. At the southernmost part of the Coast is the city of San Diego and the border with Mexico, specifically Baja California. Parallel with the coast is Interstate Highway 5, running from Los Angeles, up to San Francisco, to Eugene and Portland, Oregon, to Seatlle and then crossing the border to Vancouver before heading back in land to Kamloops.
