I find the text about the British Foreign Office to be highly misleading in this article. While much can be written about the Allied policy toward prisoners in the Nazi camp system, it was far more complex then Bergen-Belsen alone. Indeed, Bergen-Belsen was neither a "show" camp such as [[Theresienstadt]], a major forced labor camp, or an extermination camp. There seems a bit of drama and agenda here put into the context of a single camp rather than a more general and neutral article about the Holocaust, the possibility of negotiated release, the belief in the extent of the situation by British and U.S. diplomats and intelligence, and the arguments that a military victory over the Third Reich was a better approach. Bergen-Belsen versus overall policy
