I was born in South London, England in 1972. I have an O-Level in
French and five GCSE's in English Literature, English Language,
Humanities, Physics and Maths. I studied for A-Levels in Maths and
Stats, Sociology and English Literature, but never completed them,
dropping out. I have held various jobs:
- For one year I worked with my dad in the building industry.
- For two years I delivered pizzas whilst at college.
- For two years I worked in a comic shop as assistant and then manager.
- For eight years I worked in a betting shop, working my way up from
cashier to acting duty manager, before leaving to look after my children.
- Currently I am a house-husband, looking after my two children and work
part-time as a stock controller for a supermarket chain.
Whilst working in the betting industry I completed many company courses, demonstrating my aptitude for numbers. I took a psychometric numeracy reasoning test as part of my training and was told I was in the top two percent worldwide.
My interests are mainly in the United Kingdom, especially Mitcham, where I grew up, comics, music of the late 1980s and early 1990s and gardening and allotments. I have a large number of reference works relating to comics, and although I am not an accredited expert, I would consider myself an interested amateur.
