Dr. Wilson is a computational social scientist who has worked in industry/academia in the roles of employee, consultant, teacher and researcher.

With advanced degrees in social science, computer science, mathematics, and education, he was listed as the principal investigator for a National Science Foundation proposal (0647552, dated 08/11/2006) that was rated as "Very Good" by some (but not all) reviewers (and was, alas, unfunded). In a previous life, he worked as an applied computer scientist (with an "Above Top Secret" clearance) on several national-level intelligence-related projects.

He is a referee for the Journal of Artificial and Social System Simulation and an ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) reviewer for Computing Reviews.
