I grew up in western Pennsylvania in a small town. I attended SUNY Fredonia and received a Bachelor of Music in Music Education, with cello as a major instrument. I attended Western Connecticut State College and received a Master of Science in Music Education. I taught music for 12 years in various places in New York and New Jersey. I taught Kindergarten through college. The subjects I taught were strings, guitar, general music, sight singing and ear training, and music appreciation. I have been a textbook editor for 22 years in New York City, mostly working with music education text books, but have worked on other subjects also.
