I'm a software and telecommunications professional in the Seattle area. I was born in the Santa Clara valley and raised in the Silicon Valley as a second-generation member of the software industry, a distinction that was much less common then than now. I studied history at U.C. Berkeley. I have strong interests in Information and Library Science, particularly taxonomy and ontology. While working at a nascent Netscape I developed a passion for small and efficient open standards, best embodied today by microformats. I see tremendous opportunity in the convergence of social and technological cooperation, and Citizendium seems particularly well-suited to my worldview and temperament. I look forward to learning how I can contribute.
