Orion Irvine is a native of Victoria, BC and currently resides in Ottawa, Ontario with his wife and two dogs. He is employed at the Canadian Labour Congress, and has been involved in the Labour Movement and social justice issues for over seven years.

Orion has a strong interest in science and technology. He is an amateur astronomer, and was formerly active in the Victoria chapter of the Royal Astronomy Society of Canada. He has also been involved in breeding and showing Shetland Sheepdogs. In his spare time, Orion is teaching himself to play the guitar.
