I'm a Professor of Psychology at a public 4-year college. I primarily teach, but also do great ape research, focusing on infant development, mother-infant interactions and social relationships. I have a Ph.D. from a research university and intended to be a researcher until I taught at a federal prison while in graduate school. My current students are rather different than those prisoners, but I have a love of teaching that the prisoners fostered many years ago.
