Biography. - Dr. Michael Bell is a retired school and university librarian with a Ph.D. in library science from the University of North Texas (1990). Dr. Bell, a former chair of the Texas Association of School Librarians, is the webmaster of the Virtual Learning Resources Center (virtuallrc.com) and the Academic Index (academicindex.net). Dr. Bell lives in South Texas on the border with Mexico, is fluent in Spanish, and is fond of creating search engines that provide only information sites previously recommended by teachers, librarians and educational and library consortia.
