I'm a science writer and ex-archaeologist. I worked 13 years as a project archaeologist for the Iowa Office of the State Archaeologist, and 5 more as an editor/principal investigator for the Louis Berger Group, before retiring from the field in 2005 to concentrate on writing.

This bit below here is from my cv which blabs on and on about me, unentertainingly but truthfully. I primarily work for About.com, writing articles on archaeological science, but at least at the moment feel like I can support the Citizendium as an editor and counsel without a conflict of interest, since I'm all about making accurate archaeology available to the public at large. I really want to help, I think this is an exciting thing y'all have started here, but also want to keep writing for a living. Go figure.
