Dr. Yarbro received a BA (Chemistry) and an MD from the University of Louisville and a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Minnesota. He trained in Internal Medicine and Oncology at the University of Minnesota. He has held faculty positions at the University of Minnesota, the University of Kentucky, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Missouri. He is the author if over two hundred scientific papers in oncology, hematology, and biochemistry and the author or editor of numerous books in these fields. He is founding and current editor of Seminars in Oncology, a review journal devoted to malignant diseases.
