Hello,

I'm interested in getting started on Citizendium.org, and hope that I can contribute at the "author" level on topics that I am interested in. I am a computer support engineer, working for an enterprise software company. As a third-level support engineer, I troubleshoot and diagnose difficult problems pertaining to web applications - stability, performance, complex bugs, etc., in conjuction with our developers. I have a good deal of professional experience with technologies like Tomcat, Java, Oracle, and Perl, and am a part-time Linux system administrator, with fluency in Windows 2003 as well.

I previously worked as a web server administrator at Durham Technical Community College in Durham, North Carolina ( http://www.durhamtech.edu/ ). Education-wise, I hold an Associate's in Applied Science (A.A.S) from Durham Tech in Electronics Engineering Technology. I've obtained certifications such as: Red Hat Certified Engineer (needs renewal), A+, and Cisco Certified Network Associate (needs renewal).

I have been involved in professional organizations mainly related to Linux, such as the Triangle Linux Users Group (www.trilug.org) where I am a past co-chair, and am a member of the Sydney Linux Users Group.

I am a native of North Carolina, USA, but now live in Sydney, Australia, on assignment for my current employer. I am a "railfan" and enjoy riding and photographing trains, as well as keeping track of trends in passenger and freight railroads.
