I was born on 22nd November 1956 in Trevalyn, North Wales. Educated at Ysgol Madoc and Ysgol Rhiwabon, Clwyd. Then did a degree at the Royal College of Music, London before undertaking a post-graduate teaching course (MTC) at the Institute of Education, London.
