I am a retired engineer, 62 years old, self taught amateur musician, whose insterests are mainly connected to baroque music, its history and development, musical theory and the harpsichord (I built my own instrument a few years ago).

Owning an important collection of music history books, biographies, etc. , I am the main author on the French Wikipedia, (with the pseudonyms : Gérard, Ratigan), of many pages about this topic, such as Antonio Vivaldi, Jean-Philippe Rameau, clavecin (harpsichord) and I am presently finshing the writing of "Histoire du clavecin" (history of the harpsichord) which is probably the most complete and detailed on the Web.

I am also present on Youtube with the pseudonym GerardRatigan
