Biography: B.S. in Biology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Ph.D. in Biology from UCLA. Formal education area of expertise is molecular evolutionary biology. Post graduate work experience includes 10 years of educational software and lesson design for high school through university and high school teachers; then 4 years of computer programming for biomedical companies; then 8 years of computer programming of the "Composer" HTML editing application for for Netscape Communications / mozilla open source source software project; and concurrently, many years of multimedia production projects: Photography, video and audio recording, and editing for artistic and educational performances. Clients included Cabrillo College, Santa Cruz, CA, Institute for Functional Medicine, Gig Harbor, WA, ManyOne Networks, Scotts Valley, CA., and the "Ask Dr. Dawn" radio show and NPR podcast originating from KUSP, Santa Cruz, CA.
