Demeter [r]: From Greek mythology, (Roman name: Ceres) is one of the five siblings of Zeus; she is the [[Greek god|goddess} of grain and agriculture who goes on a quest to find her missing daughter Persephone who was kidnapped by Hades and taken to the underworld, which is recounted in the Homeric Hymn to Demeter. The Eleusinian Mysteries were held in her honor.
