Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start. You'll probably want to know how to get started as an author. Just look at Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, our help system and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. Be sure to stay abreast of events via Twitter. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forum is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any administrator for help, too. Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun!

You can find some more information about our collaboration groups if you follow this link CZ:Workgroups. You can always ask me on my talk page or others about how to proceed or any other question you might have.

Have fun and Happy editing!

Diacritics

That's interesting about Wikipedian diacritics warring. Does it only concern Vietnamese? Ro Thorpe 18:42, 12 November 2013 (UTC)

No, the focus of the dispute is on the names of tennis and hockey players from Eastern Europe. I wrote only a few posts on this subject, but they were apparently enough to attract attention. When Jenks24 unblocked me, I had defied the Wikipedia system. There was a wave of indignation that lasted for weeks. Pro-diacritics editors suddenly started taking an interest in Vietnam. The Vietnam project had not been a very active one, and it was basically my little pond up to that point. So "Han-Nom" is very much off the beaten track as far as controversial subject matter goes. My banning this year triggered a chain reaction with hundreds of articles moving, both Vietnamese and otherwise. Peter Kauffner 21:42, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
