Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start. You'll probably want to know how to get started as an author. Just look at Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, our help system and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. Be sure to stay abreast of events via Twitter. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forum is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any administrator for help, too. Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun! Aleksander Stos 05:50, 18 September 2007 (CDT)

Brian, there's a party going on....

...and I'd like to invite you personally. Check out the CZ:Monthly Write-a-Thon and make sure you sign in so we can get to know you and your work! There's only one rule for the party: dive right in anywhere that takes your fancy and have fun! Reasonable stubs allowed! Aleta Curry 05:33, 3 October 2007 (CDT)

Brian, do me a favor and return to the hyena images you uploaded and add the info as described at Special:Upload. It is imperative that we have data on images. Thanks,  —Stephen Ewen (Talk) 12:00, 4 October 2007 (CDT)

If following that is confusing to you, just return to the images, click edit, and type in the source info.  —Stephen Ewen (Talk) 12:16, 4 October 2007 (CDT)

I am assuming the images you uploaded are copyrighted by you and you are reserving all rights. Is this so? Also, see Image:Aardwolf_at_the_Johannesburg_Zoo.jpg for how it looks when you follow the directions at Special:Upload carefully. The code there actually produces the nice template. I realize there's a bit of a learning curve with this stuff.  :-)  —Stephen Ewen (Talk) 03:14, 5 October 2007 (CDT)
