Purpose of this article

It seems that a lot of this overlaps with other articles such as Linguistics. When I think of the phrase 'natural language', the links with computational linguistics and constructed/artificial languages come to mind. I think this should be emphasised; other passages could be moved elsewhere. John Stephenson 04:34, 14 May 2007 (CDT)

I still think this, for the record. :-) In my experience of linguistics, 'natural language' is only ever used in reference to computation and artificial language. I think this article should emphasise these two fields. The rest can go on language - rewritten so it's not from Wikipedia. John Stephenson 19:44, 31 October 2007 (CDT)
