This article should reference documents that describe the standard size(s) of the containers. I believe that T.E.U. is the name of one standard. Connex or CONNEX is the name of another standard.
Ten, twenty and forty feet, are, I believe, the standard sizes. To be lifted by the container cranes the containers have standard pairs of holes at each corner. Is there a maximum weight in the standard?
Some containers contain built-in refrigeration or freezing machinery. Others contain toxic material. Confirming whether there are standards for this is important too. George Swan 01:49, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
