Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start. You'll probably want to know how to get started as an author. Just look at Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, our help system and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. Be sure to stay abreast of events via Twitter. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forum is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any administrator for help, too. Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun! Aleksander Stos 05:43, 2 October 2007 (CDT)

Tried to help improve your bio page

Hi Bruno, sorry to intrude, but I stumbled onto your user page and noticed that your bio page was rather difficult to read. So, I tried to help improve the use of English there. Please feel free to revert it if you disagree with the changes. Enjoy your time at CZ. Hendra I. Nurdin 18:58, 2 October 2007 (CDT)

Bruno, don't worry about your English, just keep on contributing. Many people here will be happy to help you out with language matters. Btw, when you copy/port an article from Wikipedia in the future please try to remember to click on the "Content from Wikipedia" box, because WP content should be attributed as such. Right now, there is a technical problem from a MediaWiki upgrade causing that WP checkbox to disappear, but it will appear again soon (so it's not your fault that it has not been ticked off :-)). Thanks. Hendra I. Nurdin 20:38, 2 October 2007 (CDT)

Catalogs of historians

Hi, Bruno! I had a question about the "catalogs of historians" subpages you've been working on. I've probably missed some of the discussion and explanation elsewhere, but I wondered whether there is any plan to consolidate these catalogs. Right now, there seems to be a lot of duplication. For example, there is a list of historians by nation; a list of historians by viewpoint; and then a list of historians by area of study -- which contains a list of historians by nation, and another list of historians by viewpoint. It seems to me that unless every future author who adds to these lists remembers to add to multiple lists at the same time, the lists will diverge, and users will have to look in multiple places to see whether a particular individual is listed at all. Perhaps the "historians by area of study" could contain a hyperlink to the list by nation and the list by viewpoint, instead of containing a duplicate copy of the contents of those lists? Of course, it's entirely possible that I'm missing some important point here; if so, my apologies. Bruce M.Tindall 12:48, 16 December 2007 (CST)
