Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality
From Citizendium, the Citizens' Compendium
The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) is "the health services research arm of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), complementing the biomedical research mission of its sister agency, the National Institutes of Health."[1]
The AHRQ was preceded by the Agency for Health Care Policy and Research (AHCPR) which was created in 1989 by public law 101-239.[2]
