Xfire is an instant messaging program created by Xfire, Inc. Its primary use is in-game instant messaging, but it also logs your game hours, lets you keep a list of favorite game servers, acts as a game server browser, and download game-related files. Xfire, Inc. is based in Menlo Park, California, United States. In a $102-million deal, Xfire was acquired by Viacom on April 25th, 2006.
