I've deleted some stuff from the original because they contained redundant information (e.g. "A status bar... shows different information... display information... privacy information") or inaccurate statements. I wonder if this article should be longer. I realize the old Wikipedia version may have been too lengthy and disorganized, but this is a compendium after all; perhaps there should be more than a dictionary definition?--Matthew Varpness 13:19, 8 November 2006 (CST)
