Commonly known as Prince Masaka, with the personal name of Takajato Miskata) (b.1914- ) Younger brother of Emperor Hirohito, uncle to Emperor Akihito, Military and Staff College graduate with an interest in aviation, both patron and protege of Colonel Masanobu Tsuji.
It is known that he met with some of final rebels against surrender, but is not clear if he was simply gathering information, an Imperial emissary, or discouring or encouraging them.
