Newsweek is a major U.S. news magazine, in weekly print and in Web form, which had been owned by the Washington Post Company. The Editor has been Fareed Zakaria.

The money-losing publication was bought for $1 by Sidney Harman. In November 2010, it was reported that it would merge with the online-only Daily Beast. It has not been finalized, but Tina Brown may become the Editor. [1]
