The Pound is the official currency of the British colony of Gibraltar. It is tied to the Pound Sterling at a ratio of 1 Gibraltarian Pound to 1 Pound Sterling. Like the Pound Sterling, the Pound sign is used with the letter 'G' placed in front to distinguish it from other currencies called the Pound. It is also divided into 100 Pence.
