The Cumberland Gap is a pass through the Appalachian Mountains.[1] The pass was important in the early settlement of the United States, west of the Appalachians. In 1775 Daniel Boone was a trailblazer during the development of this route.

The pass's saddlepoint is at 1304 feet (397.46 m).[1]
