In economic theory, '''capital''' is one of the three [[factors of production]]. The other factors are [[labour]] and [[land]].
In the categorisation used in classical  economic theory, '''capital''' is that  one of [factors of production]] that has been created for that  purpose, the other factors being [[labour]] and [[land]]. In that categorisation it included physical capital and financial capital.
 
We can distinguish at least three forms of capital:
